AI Transparency Notice

Last updated: October 2026

Where AI helps, where programmed calculations begin, and who reviews what you read.

1. How BorderCents uses AI

AI tools help draft, structure, condense and edit relocation-finance guides and explanations. They also assist software development and testing. The publisher personally reads and reviews the articles before publication.

Sources are linked so readers can check the underlying authority or provider. A source-backed explanation can still be incomplete or wrong. We do not claim that every sentence, numeric default or comparison score is a statutory fact.

2. Editorial text & calculators are different

3. How we disclose assistance

A brief workflow note under “Learn More” in our guides and country hubs links here, alongside the site-wide footer link. It explains that our guides use AI-assisted preparation and publisher review. This describes a mixed drafting/editing workflow; it does not imply that the first draft was human-written or that a qualified adviser certified it.

AI-written from source data
Prose generated using source material and subsequently reviewed. The label does not guarantee that the summary captures every qualification.
Edited with the help of AI
Text whose editing or organization used AI tools. It does not by itself establish the original author's credentials.
AI-translated
Reserved for a translation actually produced with AI assistance. The current English edition does not use this label to imply that translated editions exist.

4. What this workflow does not do

5. Limits & source checks

Law, administrative guidance and provider policies can change independently. AI summaries can omit an exception; human review can miss one too. Confirm consequential rules and deadlines through the linked official source and an appropriately qualified adviser before signing, filing or moving money.

Our editorial and fact-checking standards distinguish official rules, provider terms and sample assumptions. Source-review notes stay under “Learn More”; we do not use headline badges to imply universal verification.

6. Article 50 & why we disclose AI assistance

Article 50 of the EU AI Act contains transparency duties for certain uses of AI. For AI-generated or manipulated text published to inform the public on matters of public interest, Article 50(4) includes an exception where there is human review or editorial control and a natural or legal person holds editorial responsibility.

The publisher reviews the articles, and we disclose AI assistance regardless. This page is not a compliance certificate and does not establish that every legal condition or exception has been met. Publisher identification remains pending in our legal notice. Read the official Article 50 text rather than relying on a blanket statement that every AI-assisted edit must be labeled.

7. Responsibility & corrections

BorderCents Editorial is a publishing byline, not a fictitious individual or a claim of regulated-adviser status. The publisher is responsible for publication decisions; their legal identity and any required registration details are still pending in the legal notice.

To report an issue, record the page, exact claim, relevant date and a supporting source. Our contact page shows the available channel.

For editorial feedback, corrections or privacy questions, email team@bordercents.com. You can also read our contact & editorial feedback page. Do not send confidential records.
